Course Eligiblity :
1. Educational Qualification
Passed Std. Xth from a recognized board with at least 40% aggregate marks and at least 40% marks in English subject* 
            
* Minimum 50% in English if
passed from vernacular medium.

2. Between 18 years to 25 years before entry in training(On 1st January or 1st July)

3. Medical Fitness
Height: 158 cm minimum  
BMI: 20 Minimum
BMI: 30 Maximum

Normal colour and field of vision.
No squint. No eye disease.

6/18 in each eye without visual aids.

No speech impairment (disorder)

4. 6 months. Course starts on 1st of January and 1st July each year.

5. Compulsory Documents
5.1. Passport 
a) Compulsory at the time of application.
b) Valid upto at least 2 years after completion of course.
c) Passport should have surname and given name.
d) Passport should not bear “ECR REQUIRED” Endorsement.
e) Name and DOB on passport and marksheet should be same.

5.2. Final certificate of Covid 19 vaccination at the time of joining (Second dose must be taken 1 month prior commencement of course).

Course Description :
Duration of the CCMC Course is 6 months. There is no scope for leave or sick leave during the course. This is a RESIDENTIAL course (hostel is compulsory). As a part of training candidates need to be prepared for practical work including looking after living quarters, and the campus. This course includes mandatory Basic STCW courses required for CDC.

Duties of Catering Personnel

CCMC trains persons in stewarding and cooking. Work involves preparing & providing food (Vegetarian & Non Vegetarian), Beverages & housekeeping services to officers and crew of the ship. Trainees are required to cut meat / fish, prepare & taste non vegetarian dishes. They are also trained as deck- hand in case of requirement on board.
