Course Eligibility :

Category 1:
1. Pass with aggregate 40% marks in 10th Standard with Science, Mathematic as subjects.
2. The candidates must have secured minimum 40% marks in English in 3. 10th standard exams.
4. Age limit: Minimum 17.5 Years and Maximum 25 Years.

Category 2:
1. Pass in 2-Year I.T.I. course from Govt. Approved Institute with minimum 50% aggregate marks in final year.
2. The candidates must have secured minimum 40% marks in English in 3. 10th standard exams.
4. Age limit: Minimum 17.5 Years and Maximum 25 Years.

Category 3:
1. Diploma or Degree holders.
2. Pass with aggregate 40% marks in 10th Standard with Science, Mathematic as subjects.
3. The candidates must have secured minimum 40% marks in English in 4. 10th standard exams.
5. Age limit: Minimum 17.5 Years and Maximum 27 Years.

Passport is Mandatory.
Medical standard: Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight up to (+ or -) 2.5 with no colour blindness.

Notes:
1. Category 1, 2 and 3 – The candidate must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board.
2. Category 3 – The diploma or degree must be recognized by any State or Central Government or the AICTE.
3. Category 3 – The maximum age limit for degree or diploma is raised with a condition that these candidates are provided shipboard training within one year of completion of course.
4. The maximum age limit mentioned above shall be applicable for General Category candidates.
5. The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to “Scheduled Caste” (SC) / “Scheduled Tribe” (ST) Category shall be relaxed by 5 years.
6. The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to Non-creamy layer of “Other Backward Classes’ (OBC) Category shall be relaxed by 3 years.
7. The maximum age limit for women candidates of each Category shall be relaxed by additional 2 years.
 

Course Description :
The Candidate will join the ship as a Trainee Seamen and will be promoted based on the performance on board ship.


Career Path:
After the completion of the course, the cadets will be issued with the CDC, INDoS No. and Course Completion. The Candidate will join the ship as a Trainee Seamen and will be promoted based on the performance on board ship.
